Ika-Tako, Virus From Japan

It is not always the picture was funny and cute animation. The proof is in fact a hacker intentionally use these images to break into computer security and retrieve important files from infected computers.

Viruses are named Ika-Tako means octopus or a note in Japanese began infecting computers since last May through fle sharing site in Japan, Winny. Since then, the virus has been attacking octopus up to 50 000 20 000 computer. Virus disguises itself into the music files that are downloaded the user. Once the file is played, the virus then infects the files stored on your computer. Infected files instantly transformed into pictures squid, octopus, or sea urchin, then disappeared. Presumably the files are directly sent to the server by the hacker.

The virus creator was a hacker named Masato Nakatsuji. He has repeatedly been arrested but never cured. Nakatsuji says it will keep repeating his actions just to see how many computer programs that successfully detects and removes viruses were homemade.

As quoted mbahKOM from PC World, Friday (20/08/2010), considering the number of files stored on their computers, many of those who suspect there is another motive behind the larger spread of the virus that seemed only to show off his skills computing.
