Four Factors Cause Booting on PC Slow

The problem that usually exists in a PC or laptop, especially with the Windwos operating system is the old boot time. In fact, booting on Windows should take place quickly even if a user is using Windows 7, 8, or 10.
Keep in mind that there are several causes a PC or laptop takes a long time when booting. Avast antivirus company noted there are several factors causing booting on a Windows PC to be slow.
The first factor is the new driver. As is known, the driver is the part that controls the work of hardware devices inside the computer. For example, the driver ensures the voice chip can work to play MP3s and YouTube videos can have sound. If the driver does not work properly then the effect caused the boot time to be long.
The next factor is the application. The more applications such as PhotoShop or iTunes that a user installs will slow down the computer's performance.
This is because an application runs on start-up or service automatically every time a user turns on the computer. Some applications can be found in the taskbar but some are not visible.
Avast's third point is a new update. Many apps check for the latest updates of the product when a user turns on the computer. Even Microsoft sometimes provides cumulative or new updates (Windows 10) that can make booting time to be very long.
The last factor is malware. Viruses, trojans, spyware and other types of malicious applications can make booting time very long compared to new computers. So make sure a user runs an updated antivirus application.
Then how to solve it? Sandro Villinger, Global Marketing Strategy and Strategy Manager Avast mentions that there are two ways that can be done.
"To find out what factors make a computer have a long boot time, a user can use an internal Windows application called Event Viewer," he said in a statement received by computer from detiknet, Thursday (1/6/2017).
Application of Event Viewer is considered quite difficult to practice, especially for ordinary users. As for the second easier way is to use AVG PC TuneUp software, in which there are features such as disabling applications that slow down boot time on the computer.
In addition to the above two solutions, Avast also provides two additional solutions. The first solution is an upgrade to Windows 10. In many cases, this latest operating system has been developed to have a shorter boot time of few seconds than its predecessor.
The second solution is to use SSD or faster storage. "Computers with SSDs will be faster, including when reading data almost instantaneously," The difference in boot time between SSDs and ordinary hard drives is like day and night, "added Villinger.
